William Lee Pirtle, 68 of Farmersburg, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. Bill was born in Sullivan County on August 9, 1953 to Patricia Jane (Kelly) Pirtle and Jack Melvin Pirtle. Bill graduated from North Central High School (class of 1971), was drafted soon after graduation. Enlisted in the United States Navy where he served 4 years. Bill is survived by his "Best Dad" in the world, Jack Pirtle, brother David (Jamie), daughter Caroline (Dante), grandson Myles, several nieces and nephews, and special friend Deanne Tolbert.  When Mike (11), Bill (10) and Dave (7) were very young, mom and dad took us to take guitar lessons once a week.
