Obituary

William J. Brandom, 87 of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:06 AM on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in his residence. He was born in Kokomo, IN on April 10, 1927 to Joseph Brandom and Sylvia Bland Brandom. Mr Brandom was a U. S. Navy veteran and was owner of Brandom Signs, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dolores Blankenship Brandom in May of 2013. He is survived by two sons, Joe Brandom (& wife Patti), and Jerry Brandom (& wife Melody). Also surviving are three grandchildren; Monica Brandom, Natalie Brandom, and Nathan Brandom, as well as a great granddaughter, Emma. In addition, he is survived by a sister, Sandra Fields. Mr. Brandom was a member of the American Legion, Life member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, was a life-long motorcycle rider and was a member of the Wabash Valley Motorcycle Club as well as the American Motorcycle Assn. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Wabash Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave., on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Ernie Peckham officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM in DeBaun Wabash Ave. Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions are made to the Terre Haute Adventist Church School, 900 South 29th St., Terre Haute, IN 47803, in his memory.
