William H. "Bill" Myers, Jr., 85 of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:00 AM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in his residence. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 10, 1931 to William Myers, Sr. and Elizabeth Davis Myers. Bill was a US Army Veteran and retired from Telecom Data Services in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Drake Myers, daughter Katherine Willcox, and son, Matthew Myers. Also surviving are 3 step-sons; Tim Drake (Beth), Dan Drake (Sandra), and Mark Drake (Lisa). Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Andrew Willcox and Ashton Willcox, 10 step-grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Elizabeth Lucille Brown. Bill loved researching genealogy and was a charter member of the Wabash Valley Genealogy Club. He was a member of the Stamp Club, enjoyed gardening and flowers, and had the ability to fix anything. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Assn., the American Lung Assn., or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
