Wade Lee Walker, Sr. suffered from chronic health issues most of his adult life, and ultimately lost his most recent battle with end stage liver failure on June 16, 2013 at 1:27 am. Wade was a kind and gentle man. He brought joy to his family and friends through love, laughter, and his vibrant smile. Wade loved going to NASCAR races with his best friend, Myron. He enjoyed mushroom hunting. He also loved going on family vacations, especially to Disney World. Wade was a cook, most recently at Red Lobster and he loved nourishing his family with wonderful meals he created. Wade was born June 18, 1958 in Terre Haute to Guy L. Walker and Dolores (Belmear) Walker. He is survived by his wife; Cathi (Hooper) Walker; son: Wade Walker, Jr., daughter; Ashley Hill and her husband Tony; granddaughter: Lily Hill; half-sisters: Tina Gotts, Mary Jane Baltrus, and Mary Ellen Richards; brother-in-law: Marvin (Skip) Hooper, Jr.; sister-in-law: Susan Hooper; mother and step-father: Dolores and Vern Nelson; nephews: Nick Baltrus, Justin Shannon, Eric Shannon, and Brandon Shannon; step-father: Kenny Harper; daughter-in-law: Maryrose (Tye) Sanquetti and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter; Dusty Walker, brother: Walter Walker, and his father. Visitation will be Wednesday June 19. 2013 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Abe Miller officiating.
