Virginia Ann Hess, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Friday August 5, 2016 at 10:40 pm in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born March 5, 1923 in Terre Haute to Arthur Heyder and Louise (Eckert) Heyder. Virginia is survived by a daughter, Barbara Magadanz (Howard) of Lafayette, IN; a son, Kenneth Hess, Sr. (Anita) of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Sonya Doty, Kenneth Hess, Jr., and Gretchen Hess-Brandenburg and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hess who died in 1991 and seven brothers and sisters. Virginia was a graduate of Garfield High School and a long time member Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Tuesday August 9, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jacob Sutton officiating. Private family burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
