Violet May Harden, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Union Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 15, 1939 in Vigo County to Charles Henry Jackson and Gertrude Piker Jackson.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Harden; brothers, Jesse Piker and Bill Jackson; and a sister, Ruby.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald F. Harden, John L. Harden and his wife, Amy, and Andrew Harden and his wife, Kathleen. Violet is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
