Violet Ada Sparks, 81, passed away on May 10, 2021 in her residence. She was born on May 31, 1939 in Terre Haute to William Farris Green and Geraldine Susan Ruth Layman.  Violet is preceded in death by both parents, her husband Clifford Sparks, who died November 7, 1998, her brother Gerald Green, her sisters Wilma Green, Nancy Mewhinny, and son-in-law Kenneth Drake. She is survived by her daughters Katharine Johnson (George), Crystal Wilson (Tim), Gloria Drake, Cheryl Kellams (John), Carol Newlin (Wilbur), brothers  George Green (Kay), and Wesley Green (Bridget), Sister Myrthel Frye (Bernard), sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Violet graduated from Honey Creek High School in 1957. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Visitation for Violet will be held at DeBaun Funeral Home on Saturday May 15, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with services starting at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Terry Stevens will be officiating.
