Viola Vivian Spencer, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Springhill Village.  She was born on February 11, 1932, in Martin County, Indiana to Kenneth C. Williams and Agnes Vandermay Williams.  Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She worked as an administrative secretary for the Vigo County School Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Vivian is survived by her daughter Mary Doner (Carl) of Terre Haute and son Andrew Spencer (Barbara) of Marion, Iowa, grandchildren Samantha McDonald (Luke), Carl William Doner III (Beth Anne), Amanda Maher (Jim), and Emily Arreola (Marco), and great grandchildren Mackenzie Greer, Kendall Greer, Lupita Arreola, Santi Arreola, Allyson McDonald, Elias McDonald, Lucille McDonald, and Caroline McDonald.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 56 years Kenneth Spencer, sister Ruth L. Compton, and brothers Kenneth C. Williams, Jr., and Robert Williams.

The family would like to thank the Commons at Honey Creek, Springhill Village, and Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the love, care, and support given to Vivian.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society or the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Vivian. Private services were held.
