Vickie L. Smith, 52, of Terre Haute passed away December 26, 2013 in her residence. She was born July 26, 1961 in Terre Haute to Carl R. Miller and Myrtle F. (Schoffstall) Miller. Vickie is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith; sister, Glenda Thompson and husband (Rex) of Marianna, AR; brother, Audie Miller and his wife Sandy of Gladstone, MO; son, Shawn Elrod of West Terre Haute; daughter, Shannon Waterman and her husband Paul of Terre Haute; step-sons, Jerry Wayne Smith and Matthew Smith; grandchildren, Katie Elrod, Virgil Elrod, DeKota Hagemier, Annastacia Waterman, Hailey Waterman, Kadence Smith, and Emma Smith; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, several great nieces and great nephews, and her dog, Precious Joy. She was preceded in death by her father Carl R. Miller and her beloved mother Myrtle Frances Miller, who was her best friend, and her beloved dogs, Doolittle, Sassy, Prissy, and Tiny. Vickie loved the Lord with all her heart, she also loved riding motorcycles, and her dogs were everything to her. She had survived cancer and also a critical motorcycle accident. Visitation will be Sunday December 29, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Home, Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services on Monday December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Billy Joe Henry officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
