Vernon L. Franklin, 68, of Terre Haute passed away in his residence on Sunday, July 28, 2019.  He was born in Terre Haute May 19, 1951 to Vernon Francis Franklin and Mary Lee Franklin (Childress).  Vernon was an avid fisherman, enjoyed going to flea markets looking for treasures to buy, and working on his Harley that never ran.  He loved to travel, especially to Arizona.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy.  Vernon had a great sense of humor and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by son Chris Franklin (Veronica), daughters Candy Franklin and Sherry Franklin Lee, grandchildren Desirae Franklin, Porscha Condry, Veronica Lee, Raidyn Franklin, Abbi Franklin, and Jaxyn Franklin, brother Ronnie Franklin (Shelly), sisters Mary Coleman, Beverly Wenk, Loretta Neal, Terri Poczerwinski (Mark), Debbie Farrell (Tom), Lori Campbell, and Donna Snavely.

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life for over 42 years, Debbie Franklin.
