Tisha Gehring Thompson 53, of Tawas City, Michigan and formerly of Terre Haute died April 6, 2025.  She was born on June 14, 1971 to Jack Gehring and Susan (Dayhuff) Gehring.  She was a longtime school bus driver for Lafayette Indiana School Corporation and more recently for the Tawas Area School Corporation.  She had been attending the Tawas New Hope Church.  Her survivors include her husband Dwayne Thompson, a son Jacob Nichols (Cara), a daughter Hayley Black (Travis), granddaughter Lillian Black, father Jack Gehring, brother Tyceson Gehring and nieces Kiersten Gehring, Grace Gehring, and Olivia Hunter.  She has 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 10, 2025 beginning at 1 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Prairie Creek West Lawn Cemetery.  For those who choose memorial contributions can go to Gentiva Hospice.
