Thomas "Tommy" N. Tomes, 76 of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:18 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Westridge Health Care. He was born in Shelburn, IN on August 25, 1938 to Roy Tomes and Helen Grable Tomes. Tommy is survived by two sisters, Lenora Torpy and Margaret Combs as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as 3 brothers; Jack, Bill, and Jerry Tomes, and a sister, Patricia Hayes. His memberships include the Sons of the American Legion. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Linda Smock officiating. Burial will follow in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
