Obituary

Thomas P. "Tom" Trout, 86 passed away on Monday, November 8th, 2021.  He was born April 8, 1935 in Terre Haute to Gale and Ruby (Peacock) Trout. He was a retired railroader. Thomas is survived by daughters, Merriel "Joni" Ditto, Sandra Trout, Connie Trout Wilson (Donny), Sally Trout Joseph (David); brother, Gale Trout; grandchildren, Preston Phillips, Angie Phillips, Josh Hutson, Jason Hutson, Jennifer Ditto Watson, James Trout, Austin Wilson, Tommy Trout, Teresa Wilson Carter, Emily Hamilton Stephens, Amie Hamilton, Arley Umphries, Autumn Umphries McLain, and Dennis Joseph; twenty three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughter in law Linda Trout, one honorary nephew Bob Short, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents; son, Thomas Trout; daughter, Lucinda Trout Phillips; brothers, Tony and James Trout; sisters, Phyllis Trout Kernstein and Judy Trout Tenhulzen; the mother of his children, Nellie Trout, and honorary brother Jack Short. Thomas was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge Riley #390, the Kerman Grotto, American Legion, Outdoor Rec, Marine Corp League and Retired Railroaders Assoc. (Past President).  Visitation will be Friday November 12, 2021 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Alfred Templeton officiating. Masonic services by Riley Masonic Lodge #390 will begin at 2:45pm. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
