Thelma Irene Stultz, 87 of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Springhill Village Convalescent Center. She was born in Carlisle, IN on December 17, 1928 to Raymond Pirtle and Rachel Hart Pirtle. Irene was a retired Nursing Assistant at Union Hospital, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Wabash Valley Senior Center, and American Legion Post #346 Auxillary. She is survived by two sons, David Stultz and Darin Stultz (wife Elizabeth), as well as two granddaughters, Cindy Edenhofer and Heather Johnson (husband Bryan Johnson). Also surviving is her brother, Charles Pirtle and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Pirtle, and a sister, Catherine Resler. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jim Haddix officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle, IN. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church, in her memory.
