Terrence Michael Thompson Sr. (Terry), age 76, and formerly of Terre Haute, IN, earned his

heavenly wings this past Saturday, August 26, 2017, after a courageous battle against pancreatic

cancer.

Terrence was born on November 14, 1940, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Terrence was the 5th of eight

children born to Ellamae Louise Harrod and Nevelland Alphonso Thompson Sr. Terrence grew

up and attended local TH schools and graduated from Gerstmeyer High School. His family

attended Spruce Street AME Church and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Terrence served in

the United States Army, and after his service, returned to TH, where he worked for a few

companies before joining United Parcel Service (UPS) as a Courier Driver, where he retired after

many years of superior service.

Terrence was preceded in death by his Parents, his Sister, Lillian Marquita Ross (James

'Buster'), and Brothers, Nevelland Alphonso Jr. (Jeanette), and Marvin Wayne Thompson

(Marilyn), and Nephews, Gary and Kevin Ross.

Terrence is survived by his son, (Terrence) Michael Thompson Jr., Brothers, Joseph of San

Francisco, CA, Kenneth (Gloria, Cheryl, Kenneth, & Derrick) of Oakland, CA, Gregory

(Lynette, Melissa) of Indianapolis, IN and Larry (Autumn, Cody) of Terre Haute, IN.

Survived also by several close Nieces/Great Nieces, Nephews/Great Nephews, to name a few;

Marsha Booker (Lloyd, Nathaniel, Daniel), Dawn Ross, Anita Walker (Regina, Tanisha),

Deborah Thompson Quinones (Gerardo, Christopher, Mateo), Starla Thompson, Kedrick Ross

(Bernadette), Steven and Nevelland III Thompson, Tracy Stevens (Shari, Whitlee, & Taylor),

and Lonnie Ross.

One Aunt, Josephine Bishop of Indianapolis, IN. Many close Cousins, like Darlene Bradley

(Bobby Jr., Maurice), Joyce Johnson, Marlene Redmon, Sherman Cheatem, and many other

Cousins, numerous close and Loving Friends and last, but not least, his Special Friend, Esther

Sanders of Atlanta, GA.

Services will be held for Terrence Michael Thompson Sr., on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in

Terre Haute, Indiana at DeBaun Funeral Home, at 85 E. Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, IN 47802,

with the Visitation from 1- 2 p.m. and the Memorial and Celebration of Life, starting at 2 p.m.,

with Nephew, Lloyd Booker officiating.
