Teresa Jean Edington-Stroud, 69, of Terre Haute passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 9, 1957, in Terre Haute to Bill Edington and Judy McGrew Edington. Teresa was a member of Izaak Walton Chapter 200. She enjoyed camping, playing pool, music, karaoke, going to the casino, and traveling. She and Gary visited Branson, Gatlinburg, Mexico, Florida, and one of her favorite places, Savannah, Georgia. Family was very important to Teresa, besides being very close with her siblings, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her most prized treasure and greatest accomplishment. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughs, and wonderful memories.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gary Stroud, children Bill Edington (Erin), Michelle Lutz (Ian), and Michael King, II (Amber); stepsons Christopher Stroud (Heather) and Brandon Stroud (Brie); grandchildren Kellee (Sam), Will (Hunter), Kaity, Carson, Noah, Cage, Nick, Natalie, Jesse, Pacey, Natalie, and Triston; great-grandchildren Grayson, Rylee, Sammy, Daisy, Miriam, Weston, and one great grandson to arrive any day. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Melanie Pusich (John), Kenny Edington, Scot Edington (Jenifer), and Julie Edington, Mark McGrew (Jane) who was like a brother to her, sister-in-law Tonya LaGrange (Kevin), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Judy, sister Loretta Edington and brother Tim Edington.
Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Teresa may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the nurses of Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the phenomenal care given to Teresa and her family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Izaak Walton, 8172 N County Road 650W, Brazil, Indiana, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
