Suzanne Marie "Sue" West, 93, of Indianapolis, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 in Rosewalk Senior Living.

She was born February 5, 1924 in Terre Haute to Walter Layher and Elsie (Frey) Layher.

Sue attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women.  She retired from the Vigo County School Corporation.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Wayman West, who passed away September 22, 1975; and her daughter, Patricia West.

She is survived by her son, Edgar E. West and his wife, Joan, of Indianapolis; her daughters, Susan Frey of Terre Haute,  Margaret Grimm and her husband, Charles,  Clydeen Taylor and her husband, John, and Mary Beth Walker and her husband, Jeffery, all of Indianapolis. Sue is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute with Father Daniel Bedel officiating Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
