Susan Ann Laitas went to be with the Lord July 16, 2015. She was born March 28, 1948, to the late Clarence H Fenet and Juanita Balsis Fenet. Susan was married to Frank Laitas, November 25, 1967 Susan was a native of Westville, Illinois and resided in Terre Haute, Indiana for the last years of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Westville High School. She retired as a teacher's aide from Woodrow Wilson Junior High School. Susan was passionate about education and working with children including being a Cub Scout Den Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and 4-H activities mentor. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and gardening. She was a proud member of the Wabash Valley Master Gardeners Association. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Frank; her brother William Fenet; her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Patty Laitas; her son and daughter-in-law Tim and Alison Laitas; and her beloved grandchildren Drew, Jack and Lauren Laitas. Visitation is from 10am to 12pm Monday at DeBaun Funeral Home Wabash Avenue Chapel. Funeral services at 12pm with Rev. Sam Ball officiating. Burial will be in Westville Lithuanian Cemetery; Westville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations to a scholarship fund in her name to the Wabash Valley Master Gardeners Association.
