Our sister, Susan Lynn Bennett passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2024.  She was born February 8, 1957, in Terre Haute to Betty (Cuffle) Brenton and Dale Bennett.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents and grandparents, the Reverend Beldon Brenton and Cecil Brock both of Seelyville, her brothers Patrick Bennett and Darryl Dean.  Sue is survived by one daughter Heather Dwyer, four grandchildren Jasmine, Dakota, Ethan, and Greg; and three great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by brothers Greg Fort, Bobby Cuffle, Raymond Cuffle, and Ronnie Cuffle; sisters Becky (Cuffle) Edington, and Debbie Cuffle; and her favorite nephew Wade and favorite niece Alaina Fort.

Sue had a spirited personality and a stubborn streak.  She was a force of nature.  She was notorious for her quick comebacks, laughter, and lively discussions and she could hold a grudge.

She had a love for simple pleasures-enjoying a cold coke and a smoke.  Though she may have been a brat at times, Sue had a heart of gold underneath it all.  She cared deeply for her family and friends and will be remembered lovingly.  May she rest in peace.

Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
