Sumantbhai Patel passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 surrounded by family.  He was born September 11, 1927 in Inida to Narottambhai and Laduben Patel.  Sumantbhai was a high school math and science teacher educating students for over 40 years.  He was an avid reader and loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Manglaben Patel, daughters Dr. Pragna Patel (Dr. Shantilal Patel), Gita Jinwala, and Raksha Jameria (Dr. Arvind Jameria), grandchildren Dr. Prashant Patel, Amar Patel, Mital Patel, Jinal Patel and Dr. Zenith Jameria, as well as six great-grandchildren.  Sumantbhai is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Jagdish Jinwala.
