Sue A. (Susie) Grannan, age 70, of Bloomington, Minn., passed away on Oct. 4, 2014. Susie was a wife, mother, grandmother and the loved matriarch of her family. She was born in Terre Haute, Ind., May 16, 1944, the daughter of the late John W. Fread Sn and Mary Fread. She is survived by husband of 52 years, Donn V. Grannan; sons, John G (Lisa), and Donn P. (Rick); daughter, Maribeth Winecke (Bill); brother, John Fread Jr. (Peggy); sister-in-law, Jann Milewicz (John); and many nephews and nieces. Susie has two grandchildren, Karly and Christian; as well as three stepgrandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Samuel and Ashley. Susie graduated from Sacred Heart and Paul C. Schulte High School. Her objectives in life were to marry, be a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than enjoying and supporting her children and grandchildren. "Mission Accomplished." She loved to travel with her family both within the continental United States and the Hawaiian Islands and on cruises. However, her favorite place on earth was her "beloved Terre Haute". She had a very "contagious smile" and she was beautiful internally and externally. How honored we were to have her as a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Susie was loved and she will be terribly missed by both family and friends. The family is planning a private memorial service.
