Stanley Earl Kerr, 56, of Terre Haute passed away in his residence on February 25, 2015. Stanley was born July 26, 1958 in Phoenix, AZ to Milford Earl Kerr and Imo Jean (Ford) Kerr. He is survived by two sons, Nicholas Kerr and his wife Amber of Terre Haute and Joshua Kerr and his fiancé Hanna Burch of Terre Haute; sisters, Sandra Riggs and her husband Elmer of Terre Haute and Sherrie Kerr of Riviera Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Kali Kerr; the mother of his children, Melody Kerr of Terre Haute and his canine companions, Slick and Shelly, who where by his side until he went to be with the Lord. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and a long-time companion, Cynthia Pennington. Stanley had worked for 27 years at GE Aviation (Formerly Tri- Industries). He was a devoted and dedicated man to his friends and family and was a helper of mankind who would do anything to help people in need. He was a member of the Gold Prospectors of America and enjoyed metal detecting. Visitation will be Wednesday March 4, 2015 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. As per Stanley's request, cremation is scheduled. The family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either Silent Men Club or Terre Haute Humane Shelter.
