Shirley Ann Austin, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025.  She was born in Terre Haute to Russell Eugene Cooke and Betty Irene (Ewing) Cooke on March 22, 1952.  Shirley married her beloved husband, Ronald Austin on December 22, 1973 and the two had been inseparable since.  The pair loved to travel and took many adventures together.

Shirley was a registered dietician and took great pride in her work.  She received her Master's from Indiana State University and later went on to teach there and at Saint Mary of the Woods College.  Shirley loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church.  Shirley also loved her dog, Baby.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband; sons Sean Austin and Christopher Austin; grandson Julian Austin; and many friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by both of her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at DeBaun Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Service will begin at 1:00 pm.
