Sharon Voorhees, 78, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at 8:24 AM in her home with family.  Sharon was born on April 2, 1940 to James Lankford and Hermine "Bays" Lankford.  She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband Arthur Voorhees.  Sharon is survived by her sons Bobby Lankford (Mary), and Harold Wayne Cottrell (Rena May); Daughter Debbie Faris (Loren Beatty); Brother Mitchell Lankford (Glenda); Half-brother Paul Corbin; Grandchildren Laura Lankford and Shannon Hopkins; Great-grandchildren Alexander Fusion, Noah Hopkins, Karstyn Hopkins, and Damien Hopkins; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharon was a member of First Christian Church of Marshall Illinois. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.  Visitation for Sharon will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 5-7 PM with a memorial services beginning at 7 PM.  The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of The Wabash Valley for the caring of Sharon.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to either The American Cancer Society or to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
