Sarah Jane (McClain) Robertson, 88, of West Terre Haute, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023.  She was the daughter of William and Margaret McClain.  Sarah was a 1956 graduate of Concannon High School and married her high school sweetheart, William, in May of 1956.  She was a bookkeeper for Bowsher insurance, a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and a homemaker.  Sarah was very supportive of the family farm.  You could always find her being the parts chaser, running seed corn when needed, and making sure everyone working got fed.  She also kept the books for the farm, which was a feat all in itself.  In her younger years she was a 4-H member.  She and William spent many years at the local fairgrounds in support of 4-H.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Robertson, her parents William and Margaret McClain, brother William McClain, sister Julia Lark, and granddaughter Sarah Roberts Norton.  Sarah is survived by sister Selma Atterson, her children Ann Roberts (Robin), Sally Robertson, William Robertson (Julie), and Todd Robertson (Jenny); grandchildren Scott Roberts (Janine), Mary Smith (Ridgley), Ross Robertson (Kelli), Cole Robertson (Kaylen), Morgan Haley (Andrew), Nicholas Robertson, and Nathan Robertson, and six (soon to be seven) great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiation.  Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
