Saprenna Marie Mills, 64 years young, passed away peacefully at her home on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on March 19, 1962, in Hollywood, Florida, to George Henry Jones and Janice Elaine Jones (Carlson), Saprenna lived a life defined by kindness, adventure, creativity, and an unwavering love for those around her. Though she spent the later years of her life in Terre Haute, Indiana, her heart was always ready for the next journey. Alongside her beloved husband, Stuart Mills, who is a boilermaker, she embraced the opportunity to travel, explore, and make memories.

Saprenna attended Miramar High School and later earned her Associate Degree in Information Technology from Ivy Tech Community College. While she was proud of her education, her greatest calling was caring for her family and home. A talented homemaker and lifelong creator, she found joy in making handmade soaps, crafting jewelry, and producing homemade wine. She loved gardening, foraging, and especially mushroom hunting, often finding beauty and wonder in the simple gifts nature provided.

To know Saprenna was to love her. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with a warm smile and genuine conversation. Her kindness, humor, and generous spirit made lasting impressions on all who crossed her path. Whether sharing stories, offering encouragement, or simply making someone feel seen, she had a remarkable gift for bringing people together.

Saprenna is survived by her devoted husband, Stuart Mills; her children, Ash Gindhart (Bri), Jeff Gindhart (Chelsey), Shannon Mills (Evan), and Georgie Mills (Nader); her grandson, Beau Gindhart; her father George Jones; her brother, Lance Jones; in-laws Stuart and Mary Mills; her nephew, George Gustin Jones; her niece, Brandy Lee Jones; and her great-nieces, Eden and Sawyer. She leaves behind a large chosen family that includes Lisa, Emily, Joyce; Wildman and Chasity; Sara, Donald, and Kenneth. She also leaves behind many beloved friends who became family over the years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Elaine Jones; her brother, George "Hank" Jones; and her beloved grandson, Ford Gindhart.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Home, with funeral services immediately following. Burial will take place at New Harmony Cemetery after the service.

Following the services, family and friends are invited to gather for food, refreshments, and to share memories of Saprenna at Sycamore Country Club, 200 Heritage Drive.

Saprenna's presence lives on in the gardens she planted, the treasures she created, the adventures she shared, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. Her smile will be remembered always, and her love will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
