Ruth Elaine Harding, 92, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully Monday September 4, 2017 at 7:00 am in Westminster Village with her loving daughter by her side. She was a gifted seamstress who worked at Meis, Roots, and Bachrach. Ruth was born September 9, 1924 in Indianapolis to Frank Thompson and Cecil (Hood) Thompson. She is survived by a daughter, Robin Orman (Jack); son, Thomas William "Bill" Harding (Nancy); son-in-law, DeWayne Moss; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Harding who died in 2000, her daughter Julie Moss, brothers, Frank "Tom" Thompson and Jim Thompson, a half-brother, George Thompson and twin great granddaughters. Ruth loved crocheting and cake decorating. Graveside services will be Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Farmersburg West Lawn Cemetery with Ric May officiating. Per Ruth's request, there will be no viewing. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Wabash Valley and the staff at Westminster Village.
