Ruth C. Homburg, 92, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully with her sister by her side, Saturday January 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm in Springhill Village. She was a retired clerk for K-Mart Department Store. Ruth was born July 8, 1922 in Terre Haute to George Homburg and Amelia (Drether) Homburg. She is survived by a special nephew, James Homburg and his wife Brenda of Terre Haute; sisters, Frances Homburg of Terre Haute and Barbara Bullerdick of Clarksville, TN; a brother, Robert Homburg of Linden, IN and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Crews and brothers, George W. Homburg and Carl L. Homburg. Ruth was a life-long member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic church. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Frances and they took many trips together including trips to Alaska and Hawaii. She also enjoyed reading and her special reunions with her former K-Mart workers. Visitation will be Tuesday January 27, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with a funeral mass starting at 11:00 am in the church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
