Russell W. Lasher, 86, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday January 17, 2016 at 6:35 pm in Westridge Healthcare Center. Russell was born June 29, 1929 in Chicago to Russell M. Lasher and Cecelia M. (Doll) Lasher. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 1979 and also worked for the Terre Haute City Parks department. Russell is survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Fleck) Lasher whom he married July 11, 1959; a son, James C. Lasher and his wife Maria of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lasher and Cielo Garcia; brothers, Donald Lasher and Eugene Lasher and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Russell lasher; sisters, Bettie Ann and Kathy and a brother, Leo. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Patrick Catholic church. As per Russell's request there are no services scheduled. Cremation has been chosen. DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
