Ruby I. Schoemaker, 79, of Terre Haute passed peacefully in her residence, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday July 27, 2019. She was born September 14, 1939 in Terre Haute to William and Thelma (Choner) Booker. Ruby is survived by her daughters, Penny Hammond (Jon), Terry Patrick (Jeff), and Kelly Watts (Raymond); brother, Frank Booker; grandchildren, Michelle Cates (James), Teresa Richey, John Patrick (Elizabeth), Michael Patrick (Amber), Cindy Avary (Jim), and Alyssa Watts (Zach) and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John J. Schoemaker who died June 15, 1993, her daughter, Candy Lee Schoemaker and nine siblings. Visitation will be Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating.
