Ruby Pauline (Deisher) Allen, 85, of Mt. Carmel, IL for the past 4 years and previously of Terre Haute passed away at her residence June 14, 2013. Ruby had worked as a presser for EZ Day Laundromat and then as a caretaker for Meadows Home Health Care. She was born April 20, 1928 in Bridgeport, IL to Clarence Deisher and Mildred (Anderson) Deisher. She is survived by 2 sisters; Opal Smith of Mt. Carmel, IL and Gladys Marie Pope; 3 brothers: Irvin Deisher, David Deisher, and Sherman Deisher, and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was pre ceded in death by her parents, her husband Elwood E. Allen who died January 15, 1999, a sister, Irene Rogers, and a brother, Harold Deisher. Ruby's favorite past-time was going to yard sales. Visitation is Tuesday June 18, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
