Eric Matthew Cloyd, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 26, 2026.

He was born on February 5, 1962, in Indianapolis to Earl and Shirley (Eberle) Cloyd.

Eric is survived by his son, Kyle Cloyd, and grandson, Rowan Cloyd; his father, Earl Cloyd, and stepmother, Sandra Cloyd; his brother, Charles Cloyd, and Charles's children, Nicholas, Lindsay, and Kim; his sister, Laura McBride, and her children, Allison, Ashley, and Peyton; and his sister, Jeanine Cloyd, her partner, Chris Metheny, and her daughter, Skyler.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Cloyd.

Eric enjoyed watching NASCAR, building model cars, and was a lifelong dog lover. He especially loved raising huskies, a passion he maintained throughout his life. He will be remembered for his love of animals, his quiet nature, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends.

Cremation has been entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. Family and friends will be contacted at a later date regarding a gathering in Eric’s memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eric's memory to the Terre Haute Humane Society (https://www.thhs.org).
