Rosemary Strain Greenwell, 94, of Terre Haute passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024.  She was born October 4, 1929, in Vigo County to Arthur J. Strain and Stella J. Johnson Strain. Rosemary loved to play cards, watch westerns, and was a great storyteller.  She enjoyed her friends and activities at Wyndmoor Senior Living.  Going out to eat with her family was among her greatest joys.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much happiness.  She will be missed by many.

Rosemary is survived by son Rick Greenwell (Cathy), grandchildren Laura Greenwell, Brad Greenwell (Brooke), Trisha Rutledge (Ben) and Trent Greenwell (Hannah), great-grandchildren Caitlyn, Caleb, Abby, Garrytt, Cabella, Hadley, Kelsie, Brienne, and Morgan, great great-grandchildren Cale, Carter, Aubryn, Charlotte, and Holton; brother Bill Strain (Donna), daughter-in-law Cathy Burk Greenwell, sisters-in-law Joyce Strain and Janet Cutshall (Dave).  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Greenwell, son Mark Greenwell, siblings Vickie Bonham, Gene Strain, Jim Strain, Jerry Strain, Ruby Roscoe, Betty Jo Switzer, and Donna Johnson (Bob), and brother-in-law Jack Switzer.

Private services will be held with burial at Watson Cemetery.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Wyndmoor Senior Living, and the nurses of 3C at Union Hospital for their love and care given to Rosemary.  In lieu of flowers donation in remembrance of Rosemary may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
