Rose Mary Piety, Prairie Creek, died at her home on November 10, 2024.  She was born in Terre Haute on September 8, 1932 to Harry and Pauline (Higginbotham) Inks.   She was a homemaker.  She loved and cherished her entire family and that love was returned to her by all of them.  She was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.  Preceding her in death was her 1st husband Wayne Ripple in 1968 and 2nd husband C. Doyle Piety in 2014, and a daughter Kathy Sontag, and several brothers and sisters.  Her survivors are her son Bruce Ripple and wife Dee of Colorado; daughters Vickie Brooks and husband Mike of Terre Haute and Tammie Rooney and husband Patrick of Illinois. She also has a brother Larry Inks and two sisters Paula Barrett and Eileen Greenlee, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Betty.  Keeping with her wishes there will be no services.  Those who choose can make memorial contributions to St. Margaret Mary Catholic church.
