Mary Rose Denny, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Monday March 30, 2015 in her residence. She was retired from Columbia House where she worked in the quality control department. Rose was born March 23, 1933 in Terre Haute to George Gallion and Helen Ireta (Powell) Gallion. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Thompson and husband Jim of Terre Haute; sister, Shirley Thornton; nephews, Danny Thornton, Mike Thornton, George Thornton, and Terry Wayne Denny; nieces, Jeannie Kay Rebman and Rita and Gordon Miller and other relatives, David and Kathy Thompson, George and Robin Thompson, Gary Thompson, and Marilyn Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Denny who died August 28, 2013; her parents, sister, Wilma Tindall and brothers-in-law, Claude Tindall and Melvin Thornton. Rose was a member of 8th Avenue Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday April 2, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Home, Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
