Ronald D. Sherwood, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday October 13, 2022 surrounded by family in his residence. He was born May 23, 1945 in Flint, Michigan. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 54 years and 3 months, Carolyn (Spilker) Sherwood; daughters, Rebecca Brinks (Douglas) and Ronda Sherwood; son, Ronald D. Sherwood II; grandchildren, Alexandra, Victoria, Randee, AnnMarie, Sirus, and Antonio; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Kambria; step-sister, Margaret "Peggy" Beals; step-brothers, Ray Helwig, Carl Helwig, and Paul Helwig and brother-in-law, Bob Parker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yuanna Richardson; step-sister, Imy Parker and brother-in-law, Steven Beals. Ronald was retired from the US Army and a Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Terre Haute and Flint, Michigan and the American Legion in Flint, Michigan. Also, Ronald loved cooking.
