Ronald Lee Robertson, 68, of Terre Haute passed away on October 11, 2013 in his residence at 5:55a.m. He was born on May 18, 1945 to Charles Robertson and Virginia (Hayek) Robertson. Ronald (aka Rapid/Ronnie) was a Jeweler in the Terre Haute community for over 50 years, working with three generations of Elliott's of Ross Elliott Jeweler and Hoods Watch Shop. Ronald's careers also included 12 years as a US Postal Rural Route Carrier. Ronald enjoyed His free time as an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Other pastimes he enjoyed throughout His life included; Drag Racing, Flat Track motorcycle racing, and guitar playing. He was a member of Riley Conservation Club, Edgar County Gun Club, Riley Legion #328, NRA, Marine Corp League, and Trout Unlimited. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Marjorie (Yettman) Robertson; son Ronald Robertson Jr. , his wife Brenda; step son Matthew Puthoff, his wife Beverly; grandchildren Andrea, Amber, Chance, and Xander; and siblings Charles Robertson, His wife Anita, Penelope Gallion, her husband John, Rebecca Touchton, her husband Lowell; and Robert Robertson. Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday October 20, 2013 at 1:00p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel. Pastor Dennis Leek will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home on Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time, to visit and share memories about Ronald.
