Rodney Eugene Summitt, 71.

Rod's life ended with him peacefully passing at home, where he wanted to be.  Rod was born August 1, 1950 to Kenneth and Esther Summitt.  He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Denise; son Terry; grandsons Nic and Hunter; brother Larry (Anita) as well as numerous extended family members.  Rod was a graduate of North Knox High School, class of 1968. He was an Iron worker at Vincennes Steel for many years.  He was also a skydiver instructor on the weekends.  Rod was very creative and enjoyed working on projects in his shop.  He will be remembered for his enjoyment of chemistry, fast cars, motorcycles, skydiving, hot peppers, reading his Bible, aircraft, and watching NASA on TV.  He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.  At his request there will be no funeral or memorial service.  The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their assistance in helping the family to care for him at home.  Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Vincennes Pet Port < Animal Shelter, 1128 South River Road Vincennes, IN 47591.
