Roberta Jane French, 66, of Terre Haute passed away in her residence on July 14, 2014. She was born on April 3, 1948 to Robert McGarvey and Helen (Payne) McGarvey-Payne. Roberta was a member of Maryland Community Church. She was a Social Worker for Area 7. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Roberta is survived by her husband of almost 47 years Terry French; son Terry Matthew French "Matt", and his wife Micci. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Patricia French and Amy French; and sister Patty McGarvey. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00a.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. Pastor Vince McFarland will be officiating. Burial will be in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
