ROBERT LEE SIVERLY Loving, husband, father,and grandfather has left his earthly family to join his Heavenly Father. Bob was born to Stanley and Luceil (McClaskey) Siverly on December 25th, 1928. Bob married Alberta Blankenship on February 8th, 1953, at the Marshall Baptist Church. They were blessed with three children Kathy , Connie, and Steve. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Alberta, daughter Connie (Jim) Turner, and son Steve. Brothers Dale (Ginny), Norman (Carolyn), Gerry (Becky), Jerry (Evalee). Grandchildren, Bob (Debbie) Axe, Tim (Melissa), Jared, Kyle, Tyler, Katie Turner, Tabitha (Dustin) Willoughby, Boe Siverly, and many great granchildren. Bob was preceeded in death by his daughter Kathy (John) Axe, brother Larry, and his parents. Bob was a hard working man and at the age of thirteen he delivered for the Kraft Cheese Co. until 1950 when he joined the US Army. He was a Seargent First Class in the 172nd Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. After an Honorable Discharge Bob returned home where he was employed by TRW for 16 years. In June of 1969 Bob and Alberta purchased the Marshall Fruit Market from Bob's father where they worked side by side for 22 years until retiring in June 1991. Bob never met a stranger, he was a kind soul who loved helping others. In retirement Bob enjoyed gardening and mowing his farm yard. He shared the fruits of his labour with family, friends, and anyone in need. Bob was a devoted member of the Marshall Baptist Church and he loved his church family. He served as a trustee, usher, and on the hospitality and the personel committee. Bob was a man of integrity and compassion. He had a great sense of humor which he shared with everyone and we will miss his smiling face. The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to the Marshall Baptist Church Building Fund 306 Archer Ave,Marshall IL 62441. Visitation at Marshall Baptist Church on Saturday 26th with visitation from 10:00am until services at 1:00pm (Central time). Brother Paul Cooper officiating . Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
