Robert A. "Allen" Shotwell, 57, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectedly November 19, 2023 in Bologna, Italy. He was a Professor at Ivy Tech Community College for 36 years. Allen was born February 3, 1966 in Hammond, Indiana to Hugh and Judy (James) Shotwell. He is survived by his sons, Quinlan Shotwell and Alexander Shotwell and a brother, Victor Shotwell. Allen was an avid supporter of the Swope Art Museum. He graduated from Rose-Hulman in 1988 and earned his Ph.D. from Indiana university. Allen also loved to travel. Graveside services for Allen will be Friday January 5, 2024 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
