Huckle Sr.
November 26, 1947 – January 23, 2024
Robert Lee Huckle Sr., 76, passed away on January 23, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 26, 1947 in Terre Haute to Edward Huckle and Charlotte (Latta) Huckle. He worked as an electrician for many years for Hercules from which he retired. Robert married Dianne (Ross) Huckle on January 4, 2002.
He was a proud Air Force veteran and worked as an aviation mechanic during that time. He loved being outdoors whether he was gardening, hunting, fishing, frog gigging, or just cruising through the county. He also enjoyed many different marksmanship activities and horseback riding. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, sons Robert Bradley Barnett (Racheal), Robert Lee Huckle Jr., and Tommy Stevens; daughters Lynnetta Working (Preston), Bobbi Robinson, Billi McNeill (Brad), Rainey Stevens, Nancy Stevens; grandchildren Austen Working, Isaac Working, Basil Working, Amanda Robinson (Craig), Sammi Hyatt (Chad), Toby Huckle, Kylie Helton (Josh), Jase McClintock (Shaina), Brett McNeill (Nyela), Cole McClintock (Maddie), Chase Blaine, Stevanna Trenkamp, Bobby Huckle, Dalton (Katie) Huckle, Hailey Huckle, Syler Gonzales, Gavin Gonzales, Mayleigh Barnett, Wesley Barnett, Chayse Lawson, Bella Stevens, and Matthew Allen; and great-grandchildren Clayton, Gunner, Haiden, Jhettson, Piper, Barrett, Cambree, Elliot, Mila, Tripp, Bella, Alaina, Karli, and Harper. He is preceded in death by both parents, stepson Fred Allen, and his grandsons Trebor Huckle and Rocky Lawson.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley for all they have done for them. Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 24, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Torner Center Recreation Office at Deming Park, 500 South Fruitridge Ave., Terre Haute, IN.
