Robert Edward Hammons Sr., 51, passed away on June 24, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1972 in Greencastle, IN to Ronald Hammons and Alice (Gibson) Hammons. On July 5, 2008, he married his best friend, Tammy (Ortiz) Hammons.

Robert enjoyed building plastic model military aircrafts, listening to his music, gaming, and being outside in nature with the animals. He loved all of his coworkers at any job he has held, and they all loved him back. He had a big heart, but he did not want anyone to know that. Robert would do anything to help anyone though.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, his mother, children Christopher James McCarthy (Melissa), Tympest Jackson, and Robert E. Hammons Jr. (Jaycee); Dalton Roman who was like a son, brother Steven Hammons, and grandchildren John, Ayden, Olivia, Xander, Grayson, Scarlett, Milo, and Aidean.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Saturday July 13, 2024 from 1 pm to 3 pm at DeBaun Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 3 pm. Online condolences can be made at dbaunfuneralhomes.com.
