Robert H. Burnett, 81, of Terre Haute passed away on April 11, 2013 at 4:00p.m. He was born on February 21, 1932 to Curtis F. Burnett and Juanita (Voit) Burnett. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, where he could fish, hunt, and golf. He was a member of Spring Valley Field and Stream, where he served as Treasurer. He was also a member of St. Benedicts Parish and the Gerstmeyer Alumni Club. He also enjoyed reading and journaling. After retirement, Robert went to work at Boot City, where he sold boots for 15 years. Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years Elizabeth (Paukert) Burnett; sons Michael Burnett, his wife Melody, Robert F. Burnett, and his wife Michele; daughters Linda Marie Sparger, her husband John, Ingrid B. Kilpatrick, and her husband Michael; ; grandchildren Elissa, Michael, Andra, Dustin, Destinee, Robby, Heidi, Chad, Jason, and Laura; 9 great grandchildren; sister Patty Ann Bickel, her husband Jim, their sons Jimmy and Matt; 4 great nieces; and many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 12:05 p.m. in St. Benedicts Parish, 111 South 9th Street. Father Ed.Goldbach will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Dr, on Monday April 15, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
