Rick Joseph Waltermire, 72, of Terre Haute, IN passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born to Winston Worth Waltermire and Lorraine Eunice (Daily) Waltermire on August 11, 1953 in Vigo County. Rick worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for International Paper. He married the love of his life, Brenda (Riggs) Waltermire on December 11, 1971.

Rick was a huge outdoors man. He enjoyed playing golf, cornhole, and bowling. He also enjoyed a game of cards. Rick was a fan of the Cardinals and IU.

Rick is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Ron Waltermire, Denny Waltermire, Gordon Waltermire, Gary Waltermire; sister, Kay Waltermire.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; son, Kent Waltermire (Sara); daughter, Wendy Hall (Nathan); grandchildren, Ryan Waltermire, Justice Waltermire, Sydney Bukovack, Jake Waltermire, Ty Hall, Morgan McGregor; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Frank & Sharon Crist, Ray & Mary Beth Ripple, Bob & Linda Sullivan; and his beloved dog, Kofi.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Central Christian Church, 4950 Wabash Ave. Terre Haute, IN.
