Richard L. Walters, 74, passed away on March 17, 2021 at his home in Shelburn, IN.  He was born in Gary, Indiana to Claude and Vivian Walters on September 7, 1946.  Richard is preceded in death by both parents.  He is survived by his wife Janice; children Beverly Savoree (Charlie) Florida, Daniel Walters (Larissa), Lori Reed (Matt) of Illinois, April Hale (Travis), Annette Pridemore, and Brian Jenkins; brothers Tom Walters (Shirley) and Ron Walters; Sister Caroline Gilbert; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Richard enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan when it came to IU basketball and the Colts.   Visitation for Richard will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, March 22nd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with funeral services starting at 1:00 PM.  Burial at Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery will follow.  Pastor Dustin Spitler will be officiating.
