Richard Eugene Falls, 83 of Terre Haute, passed away at 6:42 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Decatur, IL on September 12, 1930 to Herbert Lee Falls and Purrm Kline Falls. He is survived by his seven children; Janet Leslie, David Lee Falls & wife Kris, Kenneth Falls & wife Barbara, Diana Miller & husband James, Steven Falls & wife Charlene, Linda Litts & husband Allen, and James Edward Falls. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Lents Falls and one brother, Herbert Lee Falls, Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:30 PM, with Andy Weil officiating. The family will be receiving guests on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:30 PM on Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
