Obituary

Richard Lee "Dick" Gough, 88, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Dick was born January 26, 1929 in Terre Haute to Harry and Nellie Gough.

Dick worked for the Penn Central Railroad and owned and operated the Dairy Queen in West Terre Haute. He owned and raced quarter horses and thoroughbreds. Dick was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed playing golf. He was a very likable and good humored man, who sponsored many sponsored many youth activities as the owner of the Dairy Queen. Dick was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Ray Gough; and his sister, Dorothy Gough Terrell.

Dick is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret "Maggie" Brown Gough.

Services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Lee will be officiating; burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
