Richard O. Biggs, 78, of Terre Haute passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 in Union Hospital surrounded by family.  He was born June 26, 1939 to William Biggs and Loretta Overton Biggs.  Richard was a member of the American Legion #346 Wayne Newton Post, Class of 1958 Glenn High School,   he also loved the outdoors and enjoyed 4-wheeling. He was a machinist for 20+ years for J.I. Case and then for Honey Creek Industries. He loved his family and found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his mother Ola Biggs,  his first wife Marian (Glaspie), son Bradley Biggs, and brother Kenneth Biggs.  He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn (Duby) Biggs, daughters; Penny Howard (Harry), Rita Marshall (Doug), seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,  stepson Bill Jackson,  stepdaughter Kim Kimiecik (Jay), and one sister Violet Hoffman.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel with services to follow.  Reverend Rick Swan will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
