Remedios Reyes Vasco, 89, of Terre Haute passed away August 24, 2016 in St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Indianapolis, she was an unselfish, dedicated, and loving mother and grandmother. She was born January 30, 1927 in the Philippines to Catalino Reyes and Presentacion Ballares. Remedios was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph University Parish Church. Remedios was preceded in death by her husband, Eufrosino N. Vasco, who passed away in 1991; brothers and sisters, Donata Reyes, Leonicia Reyes, Irineo Reyes, and Jose Reyes; and her grandson, Jose Miguel Vasco Dela Cruz. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Lily Vasco Dela Cruz (Pablito); her sister, Felisa Hilotin; her sister-in-law, Violeta Oblenida; and her grandchildren, Jacinta Marie Pauline Vasco Dela Cruz, Jean Bernadette Vasco Dela Cruz and Anne Catherine Vasco Dela Cruz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph University Parish Church, 117 South 5th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47807. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Home, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. Rosary will be Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home; Friar Mark Weaver will be officiating.
